- What's included in the price?
- Design, development, copywriting, search-engine setup, and security hardening. Hosting and ongoing maintenance is the only separate fee, billed as a flat monthly number tied to your package.
- How is the price this clear?
- Two reasons. One: we've built enough small-business sites to know what each piece takes — so the scope and price are written up front, not negotiated three rounds in. Two: engineering, security, and automation expertise sit in one team, paired with a modern toolchain that handles the repeatable parts. The hours that would normally go to coordination, handoffs, and repetitive groundwork get compressed or skipped, and the savings end up on your invoice.
- Do you host my email too?
- We set up your custom-domain email — [email protected] — on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 as part of the build. You own the account directly, you pay the provider directly (around $8–15 CAD per mailbox per month). We handle the DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration so it's deliverable from day one. We deliberately don't host email ourselves; running shared mail infrastructure is a reliability and reputation risk we'd rather not pass on to you.
- What does hosting and maintenance cover?
- Canadian-hosted infrastructure, daily backups, TLS certificate renewal, security patches, uptime monitoring, and minor content edits. $49 a month for Starter, $99 a month for Standard. No per-incident charges and no surprise bills.
- Do you review existing sites built by someone else?
- Yes. We offer two tiers: a $495 CAD posture review (URL only, no NDA, ~5 business days) and a $1,495 CAD code + posture review (read-only repo access, mutual NDA, ~10 business days). Both deliver a written report with prioritized remediation. If we find something critical, you get a one-hour call within 24 hours; the fix itself is scoped and quoted separately. - What if I need something bigger than Standard?
- We're a small studio and we keep the project list short on purpose, so the work we take gets the attention it deserves. If you need a team of a dozen people, a multi-year roadmap, or enterprise SLAs, you want a full-time agency, not us. We're happy to point you toward ones we trust.
- Do I own the site when it's done?
- Yes. Your domain, your content, and the code that runs your site — handed off as a self-contained package with everything needed to host it elsewhere. No proprietary builder, no platform lock-in. If you decide to leave, we put the bundle together and help you move it.
- What about changes after launch?
- Small content edits (typos, photo swaps, hours updates, broken links) are included with your hosting — up to 30 minutes a month on Starter, 1 hour on Standard. Larger work — adding pages, new sections, style refreshes, new modules — is billed in time blocks starting at $200 CAD for 2 hours, with bigger blocks at lower hourly rates. Calls, emails, simple questions, and consultation are all on the house. We only bill for work done on the site itself.
- How long does a build take?
- Starter sites usually launch in 5–10 business days. Standard sites take 2–4 weeks, depending on which modules you pick and how quickly we can get your content and feedback.
- Why a deposit before we talk?
- You can email us first if you'd rather, that's fine. But people who configure first get a written scope, a fixed price, and a slot in our build queue without a back-and-forth, which is usually faster for everyone.
